ARTIST STATEMENT

Connexion is a feeling we are sharing - inside in our comfy clothes reaching out through our devices for that essential basic human touch. The fluffy cheerful socks that we wear every day when we are home, inside, alone, symbolize this sacrifice we are making for each other. They are a little bit of softness in this harsh world which bombards us with isolation, unrelenting images of violence and deep worry about our future. This illustration has a 60s vibe as I note both the resonance of that turbulent era and celebrate how far we have come, as we protest, together.
